The 2018 PHS Girls Lacrosse season will be Sarah Krahenbuhl's (formerly Spillett) tenth season as the Head Coach of the PHS Varsity Team. Over the past ten years, the Titans have made ten appearances in CIF playoffs. The titans were CIF finalists in 2012 and 2017 and semi finalists in 2010, 2011, 2014, and 2015. Furthermore, the Titans were named Palomar League Champions in 2012, 2013, 2015, 2016, and 2017. Coach Sarah was named the CIF Girls Lacrosse Coach of the Year in 2012 and 2017. She was also named Poway High School Coach of the Year in 2015.
Coach Krahenbuhl came highly recommended from NCAA Division 1 University of Albany coaching staff where she was a 4 year starter. Sarah was selected to be the Team Captain in the 2006 and 2007 seasons for her superior team leadership and game skills. During her 4 years at Albany she was selected First Team All-American East Conference (2007), Second Team All-America East Conference (2005, 2006), and America East All Rookie team (2004). Sarah led her team to a runner up finish in the America East conference in her senior year.
Sarah is currently a Special Education teacher at Poway High School. She was formerly the Program Director for Starz Lacrosse where she was instrumental in providing off-season club lacrosse opportunities for boys and girls throughout Southern California. Coach Sarah has also coached the Under Armour All American West team (2011, 2012), WDNT Regional team (2011, 2012), and West Coast Starz Club team (2009-Current). She comes from a strong family background in lacrosse and is originally from Syracuse, NY where she was a High School All-American.
In 2018 Christina Ricciardulli joins the Poway High School Girls Lacrosse coaching staff for her third season.
Christina graduated from San Diego State University in 2015. She was member of the first ever NCAA Division I Womens Lacrosse program at San Diego State University. She was a four-year letter winner. She was selected as team captain for the 2014 and 2015 seasons.
During her career as an Aztec she was a First Team Mountain Pacific Sports Federation all conference player in 2015. She was also a Second team MPSF all conference player in 2013 and 2014. She was voted as team MVP for the 2014 and 2015 seasons. In addition, she was awarded with the San Diego Hall of Champion Star of the Month.
Christina graduated from Poway High School in 2010 where she was a varsity team captain. She was named First Team all CIF and First Team All League for lacrosse. Additionally, she played field hockey and water polo.
Christina is currently in graduate school at Point Loma Nazarene University where she is working towards her teaching credentials and masters. GO TITANS!!
In 2018 Robin Taylor will be in her third year with the Poway High School Girls Lacrosse coaching staff.
Robin graduated from the University of Redlands in May 2015 where she played NCAA Division III lacrosse for four years. In those four years, the University of Redlands Women's Lacrosse team won three consecutive SCIAC titles, as well as, advanced to the NCAA Championship tournament three years in a row. Robin also experienced international lacrosse at the collegiate level. She traveled with the University of Redlands team to Germany where the team won the Berlin Open in 2012 and played for the Galway Club lacrosse team while studying abroad.
Robin graduated from Poway High School in 2011 and has coached for the GJLOP and other club teams in the area.
Robin currently teaches Kindergarten in the Poway Unified School District.
Megan Luther returns to Poway High School for her seventh season leading the JV program.
Megan came to Poway in 2012 with 6 years of high school coaching experience in Austin, Texas where she led the Austin High School Maroons to two TGHSLL State Championship Tournaments (2008, 2011). In addition to coaching at the varsity high school level, Megan also served as an assistant coach in 2011 for her alma mater, the University of Texas at Austin.
Megan was a defensive starter for the University of Texas and still enjoys supporting the Longhorns in all sports.
In 2018 Ashley Inman will be in her fifth year with the Poway High School Girls Lacrosse coaching staff.
Ashley graduated from the University of Oregon in June 2013 where she was a four-year letter winner for the NCAA Division 1 Oregon Ducks. In 2011 Ashley earned the Most Improved Award, and in 2012 Oregon Ducks won the MPSF championship.
Ashley graduated in 2009 from Poway High School, and was named all North County in 2008 and 2009, all CIF in 2009. You might have seen Ashley on the field as she began coaching GJLOP in 2005 and has coached numerous club teams since then.
Ashley works as a Data Analyst in Carlsbad.
In 2018, Nicole Yorba will join the Poway High School Girls Lacrosse coaching staff as a goalie coach.
Nicole graduated from Whittier College in May 2015 where she played NCAA Division III lacrosse in the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) for four years. During her career as a Poet, she was a two time First Team All-SCIAC player in 2014 and 2015, a First Team All-West Region player in 2015, a SCIAC All-Sportsmanship player in 2015, a four year starter and a captain her senior year.
Nicole graduated from Poway High School in 2011 and is currently coaching for GJLOP. She has also coached for two years as an assistant coach at the University of Redlands.
Nicole currently works as a substitute teacher in PUSD and hopes to become a school counselor.
